QuestionWhat will it be like to study at the Campus/Centre? AnswerStudying at the Loftus Education Centre is quite different to being at a large university campus. At a larger campus there is a chance of becoming lost in the crowd. Study through a Centre has more web-based interaction than presently is the case with study at a larger campus. At the Centre you will become part of a group, or team of students, studying and working directly with your tutor, as well as independently. Because the classes are much smaller than those at larger campuses it is necessary for everyone to be prepared, and to participate, in classroom based work.

Loftus Education Centre becomes UOW Southern Sydney from 2010
From 1 January 2010 the Loftus Education Centre will change it's name into University of Wollongong Southern Sydney. This name reflects better the fact that we are part of the University of Wollongong, providing university education to Southern Sydney.
